Saturday, October 21 & Sunday October 22, 2017


Sign in: Friday, 20 from 6-8 pm & Saturday, 21 from 6-9 am @ Northtown


Practice ice: Friday, 20 from 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm


Warm-ups: Saturday and Sunday 7am


Racing: Saturday from 8 am - 5 pm

            Sunday from 8 am - 2 pm


Award Ceremony: Immediately following the conclusion of racing on Sunday.

Please note: This is a US Speedskating sanctioned Meet on an Olympic size rink.

Heartland Open - (For skaters ages 12 and older (as of 7/1/17) who meet the qualifying time standard of 1:48.0 for men and 1:58.0 for women in the 1000 meters. The time standard must be from a sanctioned short track meet, from July 1, 2016 or latter)



The format of the Meet is a two round progression, one Heat and a final. The number of finals are based on the number of skaters in the Heats. First place of each Heat goes to the A final, then seeded by times.

The Super Events are based on overall points. All athletes will skate in a Super, (A, B, C...)  for their longest distance.
