Off Season Dryland

Dryland Training is off ice skating specific conditioning. Our free spring and summer programs encompass a wide variety of training techniques, including plyometrics, technique drills, running, and stretching.

While our dryland training is short track specific, anyone looking to improve their fitness will benefit from our programs. You do not need to be a member of the BSC to participate. All you need to do is bring running or cross training shoes, something to drink, a towel to wipe away the sweat, and a desire to work hard and have fun.

Covid-19 Statement:

With the resumption of our coached outdoor dryland programs, the following precautions will be in effect.

1) All participants (not living in the same household), will maintain at least a 6-foot distance from one another. There will be no physical contact, no handshaking; fist-bumping; hugging; etc.

2) The sessions will be held outdoors. In the event of inclement weather, we will not be going indoors.

3) Participants are advised to stay at home if they are not feeling well in any way, or have been exposed to someone who has or is suspected of having COVID.

4) Participants are advised to bring a mask and to wear it when not actively engaged in the workout.  Masks will not be worn during the exercises.

5) Participants are advised that location facilities may be limited. Restrooms may not be open and there may not be available drinking water.

6) Participants should bring hand sanitizer for personal use.

7) The dryland coach will enforce the precautions. All participants agree to abide by the coach's direction. If the coach feels that a participant is acting in an unsafe manner by not following the precautions, the offending participant will be asked to leave.
