
Learn To Speedskate
Join us for individual lessons or our monthly group Intro to Speedskating sessions at our North Buffalo Rink. We provide the instruction and skates, you provide the desire to learn and have fun.
Short Track Speed Skating is one of the Winter Olympics' most popular sports. Our programs allow anyone to learn in a fun, safe, and supportive environment. This is a unique chance for skaters of all ages and abilities to take to the ice and try for themselves a sport they have only seen on TV.
Learn to Speedskate Individual Lessons
Cost: $50
Number of sessions: 3. You choose from any of our regularly scheduled Sunday or Tuesday practices.
Requirements: You must bring a helmet (bicycle or hockey helmets are fine), long-fingered gloves, thin socks, warm, preferably tight-fitting long pants, and a long-sleeved shirt or jacket.
You do not have to have any speedskating experience; however, you do need to be able to skate well enough on figure or hockey skates to get around the rink.
For minors, a parent or guardian must remain at the rink while their child is on the ice.
Provided equipment: speed skates, knee pads, and a neck guard.

Intro to Speedskating Group Lesson
Cost: $15
Sessions: Sunday, October 19th
Sunday, November 9th
Number of sessions: 1. Sessions are held monthly during our regularly scheduled Sunday practices.from 3:00pm to 4:30pm.
Requirements: You must bring a helmet (bicycle or hockey helmets are fine), long-fingered gloves, thin socks, warm, preferably tight-fitting long pants, and a long-sleeved shirt or jacket.
