Home: About

Buffalo Speedskating membership is open to skaters of all ages and abilities, from those just learning to skate to experienced speedskaters. Our growing club is open to anyone with the desire to train with and learn from a great group of skaters. Our coaches and members provide a friendly and supportive environment in which to learn and excel. And most importantly, above all else, we always emphasize fun and safety.

So whether you're skating to compete, or simply for fun and fitness, together we will help you reach your individual goals and potential.

Regular Season

Our regular season runs from September through March at the North Buffalo Rink. On Sundays we skate from 3:30pm to 5:00pm. On Tuesdays we skate from 6:00pm to 7:00pm.

Off Ice Training Opportunities

Dryland Training is off ice skating specific conditioning. Our free spring and summer programs encompass a wide variety of training techniques, including plyometrics, technique drills, running and stretching.
While our dryland training is short track specific, anyone looking to improve their

fitness will benefit from our programs. You do not need to be a member of the BSC to participate. All you need to do is bring running or cross training shoes, something to drink, a towel to wipe away the sweat, and a desire to work hard and have fun.

Learn To Speedskate

 

You've seen the U.S. Short Track Speedskating Team in the Olympics. You've seen the grace, the daring and the speed, now it's your turn!

Adirondack Summer Training Camps

 

Join us at the storied Olympic Center in beautiful and historic Lake Placid for an unparalleled training and camp experience. Partnering with Coach Tom Miller and the Adirondack Speedskating Club, we run a seven-day camp designed for competitive Junior skaters ages 12 to 21 and a weekend masters camp suitable for all skaters over 21. Buffalo Short Track Championships

We are excited to host the annual Buffalo Short Track Championships. A US Speedskating sanctioned ability meet.

 

Join us every October for two exciting days of racing. We welcome 150 skaters from throughout the Eastern US and Southern Ontario. Admission is free and open to the public.
