Buffalo Speedskating membership is open to skaters of all ages and abilities, from those just learning to skate to experienced speedskaters.
Our growing club is available to anyone with the desire to train with, and learn from a great group of skaters. Our coaches and members provide a friendly and supportive environment in which to learn and excel. And most importantly, above all else, we always emphasize fun and safety.
So... whether you're skating to compete, or simply for fun and fitness, together we will help you reach your individual goals and potential.

BSC member Fletcher Codd was featured on Japanese TV station BS12's program "Global Vision" The show titled "Racing" profiled Fletcher along with two other athletes. The program was one hour long and all three sports were interspersed throughout the show.
The two links below have been edited to include only Fletcher's segment. While the narration is in Japanese, Fletcher answers questions in English.
Our regular season runs from September through March at two Buffalo rinks, Cazanovia and Riverside. On Sundays we skate at Cazanovia from 4:00pm to 4:50pm, and on Wednesdays at Riverside from 7:00pm to 7:50pm.
In addition, friends of Buffalo Speedskating have arranged for dedicated Ice at Buffalo State College on Friday mornings from 8:00am to 9:50am. There are no pads, but for an hour and fifty minutes you can skate laps, working on technique, stamina, and straight-a-way development. Schedule
Our summer season runs on Saturdays from June through August, at the Northtown Center in Amherst, This program is open to members of Buffalo Speedskating, Rochester Speedskating, Ontario Speedskating clubs and those that have completed
our Learn To Skate Program during our regular season.
Off Ice Training Oppourtunities
During the spring and summer months, many of our members and friends get together for off ice training. This free Dryland program runs from June through August on Mondays at Chestnut Ridge Park, and on Thursdays at Delaware Park, both nights from 6:00pm to 7:30pm.
Stair Climbing Workouts
From September through May you will find many of us at Furnas Hall on the Amherst UB campus. This free Stair Climbing Workout runs on Monday nights starting at 6:00PM.
Learn To Speedskate
You've seen Apolo Ohno and the U.S. Short Track Speedskating Team in the Olympics. You've seen the grace, the daring and the speed, now it's your turn!
Join us for any 3 sessions, and we'll show you why Short Track is such great fun.
Partnering with Eastern Regional Camps, we host two yearly summer camps. A six day camp designed for competitive Junior skaters, ages 12 to 21; and a weekend masters camp suitable for all skaters over 21.
